Dr. Tom Bocchino is a Doctor of Audiology and has been practicing in Gaston County for over 20 years. After seeing a need for a more patient centered, personalized approach to hearing healthcare, he opened Gaston Hearing Center. Prior to opening Gaston Hearing Center, Dr. Bocchino worked at a local Ear Nose and Throat office and more recently has been working with Veteran’s. Dr. Bocchino’s vision is to be the first boutique hearing center in Gaston County where patients receive the attention they deserve from a professional with the experience that they need.
Dr. Bocchino is originally from New York and received his undergraduate degree in Speech Therapy from The State University of New York at Geneseo. He received a Masters in Audiology from The State University of New York at Fredonia and his Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University.
Dr. Bocchino is married to his wife Melissa who is originally from Jacksonville, NC. Together they have three children, Alex and Henry (twins) and Lucy. Tom is an active member in the community. He regularly attends and has served on the council of Holy Comforter Lutheran Church in Belmont. He is a current board member of the Stowe YMCA. He coaches his childrens’ teams and regularly participates in adult recreation leagues around town. In his spare time he stays active by working out, biking, hiking and kayaking.

Dr. Lindsay Knuth, a West Virginia native, earned her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2011 from West Virginia University and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology. She is board certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Knuth worked at a local Ear, Nose, and Throat practice for over 10 years before joining Gaston Hearing Center. Dr. Knuth’s goal is to ensure her patient’s never feel like they are just a number by providing them the time, attention, and expertise they deserve throughout their hearing health journey. Her experiences have also given her the capability to work with a variety of hearing aid manufacturers as well as the most up-to-date hearing technology in order to provide the highest quality of patient-centered care.
Dr. Knuth and her husband, Clint, reside in Gastonia with their two small children, Flora and Fitz, and their dog, Dexter. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, crafting, and is an avid reader.
As the newest member to Gaston Hearing Center, she is eager to help individuals hear better and enjoy the sounds of life again.
